Privacy policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Unlit collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Unlit is operated by Sean Lewis, a sole proprietor based in Colorado ("Unlit", "we", "us"). We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, shipping address, optional phone number, the items you buy, and the amounts paid. Card and wallet details (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link) go directly to our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you contact us: your name, email, order number, message and any photo you attach.
- When you sign up for emails: your email address.
- When you browse: a cookie that remembers what's in your cart, and standard technical information our web host records when your browser loads a page, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. On the checkout page, Stripe collects device and browser information to help detect fraud.
We don't currently use analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies. If we add any, we'll update this policy first.
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your order, including receipts, tracking emails, returns and refunds.
- To reply to your messages.
- To send marketing emails, only if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To prevent fraud, keep the site secure, and keep the business records the law requires (such as tax and accounting records).
Who we share it with
We share only what each provider needs to do its job for us:
- Stripe, to process payments and send receipts (Stripe's privacy policy).
- Our fulfillment partner and shipping carriers, who receive your name, shipping address and phone number to deliver your order. Some products ship from a warehouse outside the US.
- Netlify, which hosts this website.
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which delivers messages and signups from our website forms to our inbox (FormSubmit's privacy policy).
- Google (Gmail), which hosts our email inbox, and any email service we use to send emails you signed up for.
- Authorities or others when the law requires it, to protect our rights or prevent fraud, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies
Our only cookie stores your cart so it's still there when you come back. It contains the items and quantities, not your name or email. Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page for payment security and fraud prevention. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout won't work without them. Because we don't track you across other sites, we don't respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to 7 years. We keep messages for as long as needed to resolve your request and any follow-up. We keep your email on our mailing list until you unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending marketing emails. Email unlitcontanct@gmail.com or use our contact form with your request and the email address you used. We'll verify the request and respond within 30 days. Some information, such as order records, we may need to keep to meet legal obligations. We honor these requests wherever you live, and won't treat you differently for making one.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to the payment card industry's highest security level. No system is perfectly secure, so we collect only what we need.
Children
This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
